Kurt Gene "Lurch" Gallagher
MADISON – Kurt Gene "Lurch" Gallagher, age 67, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2022, at Meriter Hospital in Madison, surrounded by loved ones. Kurt graduated from Madison East High School and worked several jobs since the age of 14. He started working as a tow truck driver for Schmidt's Towing and that lead into diesel mechanic jobs from Terra Engineering & Construction Corp. to the City of Madison, to International Trucks. Kurt loved spending time with his children and motorcycling. He was a member of the C.C. Riders for many years. Kurt also loved telling stories of his past experiences including, Sammy the Lion, local motorcycle rallies and Sturgis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Donna Gallagher.
Kurt is survived by his children, Sheila Theis, Cassie Gallagher, and Jesse Gallagher; his siblings, Cheryl (Gerry) Hauser, Julie Gallagher, and Dan (Beth) Gallagher; as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 15,2022, at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., Madison, followed by a Celebration of Kurt's Life at the C.C. RIDERS CLUBHOUSE, 1313 Parkside Dr., Madison.
