Marshall, Lester Charles
VERONA - Lester Charles Marshall, age 87, passed into the arms of Jesus on Dec. 26, 2020. Born into a family of 12 siblings, Les grew up on the family farm. He graduated from Richland Center High, where he met the love of his life, Velda Jean Merry. They were married in a double wedding ceremony alongside his twin sister, Lois and her husband, Marion Barto. A man of many trades, he and Jean owned a successful furniture store in Reedsburg for many years. Les was a kind, family-oriented guy with a great sense of humor and a gift for gabbing with anyone and everyone. He was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Lutheran and cheerfully gave his bingo earnings to the church.
Lester is survived by his wife, Jean; three children, Nancy (Dan), Brent (Beth), and Bryan (Kristi); 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Lois; brother, Ted; and dozens of nieces and nephews. Interment will be at Fancy Creek Cemetery in Richland County.
Due to the pandemic, a celebration of Lester's life will take place at a later date.
The family would like to acknowledge the excellent care received from the staff at Four Winds Lodge and Agrace Hospice.
