Lorraine E. Stieve
November 21, 1927 - May 8, 2024
SUN PRAIRIE - Lorraine E. Stieve, age 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
She was born in Sun Prairie on November 21, 1927, the daughter of Lloyd and Frances Lincoln. Lorraine graduated from Madison East High School in 1946. On September 15, 1951, she married Harold Stieve. Together they enjoyed traveling out west, spending time at their cottage, and gambling. Lorraine was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her furry companions. She was a loving, caring mother, and an excellent cook and baker.
Lorraine is survived by her three children: Linda (Dennis) Tjugum, Barb (Chris) Mattson, and Hal (Denise) Stieve Jr.; three grandchildren: Matthew (Susanne) Tjugum, Jessica (Darryl) Clark, and Amanda (Jason) Holz; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and granddaughter, Melissa Bahr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 300 Broadway Drive, Sun Prairie, with Rev. Rodney Serbus officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, immediately following, in the church fellowship hall. Entombment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends may greet the family from 9:00 AM until the time of services Monday at church.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association to support Alzheimer's and Dementia; or to the Humane Society of the donor's choice.
A special thank you to the staff of SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital 8th floor, especially Rhonda, and to SSM hospice for their compassionate care.
