Rowley, Marjorie Harker
MONONA - Marjorie Harker Rowley, age 98, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. She was born to Joseph and Amanda (Ahrensmeyer) Fix in 1922.
Marjorie, a lifelong resident of Monona, went to Nichols School and graduated from East High School in 1941. She was married to Howard J. Harker in 1942.
In 1959, she married V.G. Rowley. They combined their families.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Suzanne Harker (Dale Weidemann), John H. Harker, Ruth Ann Rowley Wheeler and Mary Jo Rowley Spindler; seven grandchildren, Sidny Harker Vellucci, Taylor Harker, William Harker Weidemann, Susan Wheeler Gereau, Bill Wheeler, Ashley Spindler Bishop and James Spindler; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Howard J. Harker; second husband, V.G. Rowley; two sisters, Anna Jane Blake and Magdalene Fix; five brothers, Glen, Robert, Joseph, Frederick and Richard Fix; and one grandchild, John Wheeler.
Marjorie liked to travel and was interested in sports, pottery, history, and antiques. She enjoyed antiquing and did so for many years with her four dear friends.
A private family service was held.
Memorials may be gifted in Marjorie's name to Heartland Hospice Care or Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge Assisted Living Retirement Community. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
