Deepest regards to the Monahan family. Martin was a great guy who we grew to know through the Tri-Town Radio Amateur Club. He was a long time member and very active in club activities. He taught Novice license classes and gave programs for our club meetings. His biggest effort was to work with the Driving the Dixie group to coordinate our club's help with that event.
73, Martin and Thank you.

I worked with Marty for several years when we were with the Federal Highway Administration, holding similar positions in our respective IL and IN division offices. After retirement, we ran into each other occasionally at annual FHWA reunions, held at various locations across the nation. A thoroughly great guy, and I shall miss his company at future reunions.

To Marty’s Family
First we offer our thoughts and prayers to all of you during this most difficult time.
Marty was a wonderful friend and co-worker over 30 plus years. We first met Marty in 1973 in Indianapolis at the Indiana Division office and then back at the Regional Homewood office.
He always had time to talk, offer a comment or tell a story in a great way. Since Sue was also born in Wisconsin also we would talk about the various farms and towns west of Madison too.
Our last conversation on the phone last an hour with us catching up on each other’s families grandkids etc and could of went on for another hour had it not been for other commitments.
Our prayers are with you all and God bless Marty.

Marty was a fantastic friend, he was always there to help someone, we each had trailers at Hudson Lake and spent many summer weekends together. He loved his boat and was always happy to take someone out on the lake. He was a wonderful, caring person and he will be missed by all.
God bless you, and rest in peace, Marty.
