Maxine A. Hamm
February 20, 1927 - May 23, 2025
MAZOMANIE, Wis. - Maxine A. Hamm, age 98, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Pines Assisted Living in Prairie du Sac. She was born Feb. 20, 1927, to Clarence and Agnes (Stombaugh) Grindle.
She was united in marriage to Lawrence Post on April 13, 1944; he preceded her in death on November 6, 1986. She later remarried Lyle E. Hamm on November 4, 1994; he preceded her in death on January 28, 2017.
Maxine enjoyed crafts, reading westerns and watching the birds at her feeders. She had a green thumb and loved working in her flower gardens, later filling her rooms with house plants. Most of all she looked forward to spending time with her family and friends, and was always willing to help anyone who was in need.
Maxine is survived by her daughter, Kris (Randy Troendle) Mabin; grandchildren, Johnny, Donnie, Angie, Katie, Ashley, Stuart, Soni and Christine; 14 great-grandchildren; and other special family members, Tammy Parkin and John Ringstad.
In addition to her parents and both husbands, she was preceded in death by her children, Karen (Will) Hall, Kathi Griffin, Eddie, Sonny, and Mickey Post; as well as two infant children, David and Cindy Lou; her granddaughter, Missy Hall; and her siblings, Phillip, Arthur, Beverly, June, and Mary.
A funeral service for Maxine will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, May 30th, at Midland United Methodist, 10235 County Rd. KP, Mazomanie. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m., until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in the Mazomanie Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at Grandma Mary's Cafe in Arena following the committal service.
