CROSS PLAINS - Michelle L. (Wilson) Roth, age 58, passed away unexpectedly due to cardiac arrest at UW Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. She was born on February 26, 1967, in Monroe, Wis., to Wallace and Linda (Williams) Wilson. On May 17, 2003, she married Dale Roth, and they shared 22 years together.
Michelle attended school in Brodhead, graduating in 1985. She was very involved in many sports and activities including softball, basketball, volleyball, band, choir, and student council. After high school she attended Blackhawk Technical College where she earned her associate's degree in nursing. She loved taking care of others and used her nursing skills daily while working at Central Wisconsin Center, where she was employed for 29 years. She took great pride in providing excellent care to the residents.
Michelle loved being a mother and was so proud of her girls. She lit up whenever talking about them. She frequently talked on the phone to her family and friends and would often mention how much she loved her family. She could talk for hours and bring smiles to those she talked to. She had a passion for cross stitching and would bring her stitching supplies with her everywhere. She was proud of her creations and often gifted them to her loved ones who continue to cherish them. She and Dale liked watching Brewers games, dining out, and playing cards with their friends. Michelle also loved her kitties, Twix and Sugar, and enjoyed snuggling with them. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed making special meals for her family. Other things Michelle enjoyed were sitting around the campfire with their neighbors, decorating for the holidays, and most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Cross Plains.
Michelle is survived by her husband, Dale; daughters, Mikaela and Brianna; sister, Darci (Jim) Lewis; brother, Eric (Mary) Wilson; in-laws, Mike (Helen), Kevin (Jennifer), Bonnie (Dennis) Dohm, Kristine (Rob) Ulfig and Jennifer (Mark) Niesen. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Linda; in-laws, Werner and Millie Roth; brother-in-law, Mark Schmidt; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Michelle's final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
