Anderson, Pamela Ann (Patterson)

MADISON - Pamela Ann (Patterson) Anderson, age 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by her sons and grandson on Oct. 8, 2021, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital.

She was born to Paul and Lucille Patterson on Sept. 18, 1933, in Monroe, Wis. Pam was a graduate of Madison West High School. On June 6, 1953, she was united in marriage to Jerald A. Anderson.

Pam worked for many years as an administrative assistant at the Madison VA Hospital and retired after a long career as office manager at Aljan Limb and Brace.

She took great pride in her family and enjoyed watching her sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren participate in many sporting events. She loved watching the Packers, the Brewers, and the Badgers. She especially enjoyed watching the University of Wisconsin Marching Band, and even more so during the years that her grandson, Mitch, played in the tuba section.

Pamela is survived by her two beloved sons, Gary (Bev) of Verona and Tom of Madison. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Mitch Anderson, Holly Anderson, Kurt (Trish) Roman, and Mark (Suzi) Roman; and by four great-grandchildren, Quincy, Pierson, Brianna, and Isabella Roman.

Pamela was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerald Anderson; her parents, Paul and Lucille Patterson; and in-laws, Clarence and Ione Anderson.

Pam's family expresses heartfelt appreciation and thanks to the staff at Waunakee Manor for the wonderful care they provided her over the past few years.

Due to COVID concerns, a private family celebration of life will be held at Roselawn Mausoleum. Memorials may be gifted in Pamela's name to The American Heart Association. Online condolences may be made at
