Pamela Kay Winne

May 16, 1951 - September 16, 2024

MIDDLETON - Pamela Kay Winne, age 73, passed away following a yearlong battle with Myleomafibrosis on September 16, 2024, at UW Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born on May 16, 1951, in Belvidere, IL, the daughter of Clifford and Patricia Winne. She married Terry Everson on July 2, 1990 in the Supreme Court chambers in the State Capital, with Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson presiding.

Imagine a Warrior Woman with the beauty of a goddess, the heart of a lioness, the soul filled with love and kindness, and now with the wings of an angel.

Pam graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1969, just weeks after Lamont Weaver's shot was heard around the state. She moved to Madison to join her beloved sister, Paula, where she worked at Bruns Volkswagen, before joining MGE as a corporate records analyst. During her time at MGE Pam achieved her dream and returned to complete her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin in 1995. She was a proud Badger. Pam taught elementary education in the Cottage Grove and Monona School Districts for seven years, until she joined Dr. Dempsey's Neurosurgery team at the University of Wisconsin as a research coordinator. She finished her career as a research coordinator for the Wisconsin Registry for Alzheimer's Prevention (WRAP) study at the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Institute, Pam loved to read, journal, walk in the Pheasant Branch Conservancy, swim, do aerobics, and share her love of life with all she touched. Pam was fortunate to surround herself with a strong support team of "soul sisters", to include Marvel, Cheri, Fern, Linda, Diane, Kris, Kate, Joan, and Terry's sister, Nancy.

Pam especially loved to support her family. She was the "rock" for her sister, Paula, who will dearly miss Pam forever; her nephew, Mathew Baumgartner, and his family, wife Sarah, and their children Addyson and Mayson; and her niece, Laura (Baumgartner) Mc Dougall and her wife, Sarah Mc Dougall. She was always the virtual Great aunt for their children, Parker and Blake. And who can forget Rosie? She did love that puppy. Pam will be deeply missed by her loving husband and Sherpa, Terry; his entire family, to include his four siblings, numerous cousins and great cousins; his Tulsa team of Nicole (Everson) Conroy, her husband Duffy, their children Callum, Macklin, Keeva, Bradoch, and Banion; and his son Scott in Sun Prairie; and Scott's family in Portland, his wife Kiran, and his two daughters Eleanor and Amaani. They did all love their "Nona".

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Patricia and Aunts/Uncles from the Rockford area.

A private family celebration will be held in the near future.

Memorials can be sent to the Cabone Cancer Center at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Pam's name.

The family would like to thank the entire medical team at the UW Hospital for their incredible compassion and care. The team on 6B6 loved Pam, and she loved them.

Oh it has been many years ago that I met Pam. Certainly sad to see Pam´s obituary in the WSJ. I took a job with MG&E in the early 80´s and instantly became friends with Pam. She was very kind and always had a smile. I can still hear her laughter. My sincere condolences to her entire family and friends. Nancy (Daleo) Bailey
