Robert (Bob) Shelton
Robert (Bob) Shelton, 72, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Agrace hospice care center in Fitchburg WI.
Bob grew up on the family farm on County K in Mauston, WI, attended U.W. Eau Claire and graduated with a degree in Art. After college he settled in Madison until his recent passing.
Bob was multitalented. He was an artist, farmer, business owner of Bob's Copy Shop, designer/mechanic building a motor bike and classic sports car from the ground up, Certified Nursing Assistant working for years with dementia patients, a gardener and music lover. He also loved to walk, especially around the farm.
Bob enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and some in Europe. He was very fortunate to meet Mary Randall whom he married. He loved going to Las Vegas and that is where Bob and Mary wed. They were together 35 years before Mary's untimely passing from cancer in 2014. Bob was very close to the Randall family and was instrumental in helping raise Mary's two great sons, Micah and Seth.
Bob loved animals, taking care of numerous dogs and cats. He also loved old farm equipment, especially tractors, and the folks who owned them. If you met Bob he would be all smiles and one liners. Most folks who were lucky enough to meet Bob left with a story, a big laugh and were never a stranger again.
Bob leaves behind loving sisters: Jean (Sam) Skemp, Ann (Bill) Perrizo and Karen (Tim) Baggot; brothers: Mike (Kathy) and Phil (Ivy); step-children and grandchildren, numerous cousins and too many friends to name.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Eleanor Shelton; brother, Bill (Judy) and wife Mary.
The Shelton family would like to sincerely thank Agrace hospice care for the wonderful, compassionate and professional care they provided for Bob and his family during his brief stay.
There will be a family gathering to celebrate Bob's life at a later date.
Memorials can be directed to Agrace hospice care facility and/or the Dane County Humane Society in remembrance of Bob.

My husband, George, was a good friend of Bob´s. He lived with him at the Tree House apartments in the 70s- 80s. I got to know Bob through George. He was a great friend, I only found out now about his death, I was just googling all George´s friends from UW. I am still in touch with some of them. Sent Christmas cards but never heard from Bob and Mary after my husband died. I am sorry for the late sympathy message. Vicky Kwasniak
