Oct. 10, 1942 - Oct. 1, 2022
STOUGHTON - Roger McClanahan died October 1, 2022, in the Stoughton, home he shared with his husband, Scott Holderer.
Born October 10, 1942, in Bogard, MO, Roger was educated at Antioch University. He graduated from UC Berkeley before studying Poetry at Oxford. He was Development Director for Common Cause and later worked for International Disaster Relief in Cairo and Darfur. He was especially proud of his work as head of governmental affairs for the Bronx Zoo, where he brought the zoo its first panda from China, improved US diplomatic relationships, and inspired people with the wonders of the natural world.

I only knew Roger as an older man through ModPo. I love this photo! Roger was a great storyteller and had interesting stories that I throughly enjoyed. He will be missed.
