Sharon Halverson

October 18, 1941 - October 13, 2025

Sharon L. (Midthun) Halverson, age 83, passed away peacefully on Monday October 13, 2025 at Skaalen Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on October 18, 1941 in Stoughton, daughter of Hartman and Ruth (Gottschalk) Midthun.

Sharon lived her entire life in the Stoughton and Deerfield area. Graduated from Stoughton High School in 1959. On September 30, 1961 she married the love of her life James K. Halverson and together raised seven children. She was always grateful to be able to stay at home to take care of her family.

Sharon is survived by her children, Jodi Halverson (David Alme), Jeffrey Halverson, Julie Matson (Jim Wedel), Joel (Jackie), Jennifer (Todd) Hanson and Jay (Brenda); a daughter-in-law, Rachael (Jeff Smith); Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Nett and Kay (Mike) Burns, nieces and nephews and great friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her beloved son, Jonathan; and infant sister, Judith.

Words from Sharon "Thanks to all for the many good times we had over the years and all your support. I especially enjoyed the cooking and baking for all of our family get togethers! I loved you all! Thank You and Goodbye."

At Sharon's request a Celebration of Life will be held privately.
