Crosby, Steven R.
LODI/WAUNAKEE - Steven R. Crosby, age 62, passed away surrounded by his wife and two sons at UW Hospital on March 29, 2021. Steve was born on May 22, 1958, in Madison, Wis., to Catherine Brabender. He attended Sauk Prairie High School and continued his education, starting out in electronics before earning his license as a master plumber in restricted sewer and soil testing, and becoming co-owner of Septic Specialist. Steve served his community in multiple capacities, including volunteering with Waunakee EMS for 16 years, Springfield Town Board, and most recently Walley of Wisconsin. When Steve was not working or helping others, he spent his time boating and snowmobiling, and enjoyed watching the Packers and socializing with friends and family. Steve will always be known for his kindness and generosity when it came to helping others.
Steve is survived by his wife of 25 years, Barb; as well as his sons, Jeremy (Kristy) and their children, Lily and Carson, and Joshua (Allie) and their children, Sawyer and Emersyn. He leaves behind his sisters, Sandra Olsen, Sheryl (Rob) Strommen, and Diann Knowles; along with many nieces and nephews. Steve is also survived by his in-laws, Rolland and Wanda DeGroff, as well as their family.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine; brothers-in-law, Roger Olsen and Craig Knowles; and grandson, Oliver Crosby.
A drive-through visitation will be held on Friday, April 2 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the WINN-CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 5785 County Road Q, Waunakee. There will be a celebration of life at a later time.
