I met Tom in 2009 when I was on a family history road trip. His grandfather, Carl Stinson, was the brother of my grandfather, James Stinson. He and Kaaren prepared a true Wisconsin dinner for me. And then in 2019, I passed through Madison another time--we went to Rosati's and I had Italian Beef for the first time. I agree with the others who commented on his upbeat attitude and his ability to easily connect with people.

Sorry I was unable to attend the funeral. Tom was a great person who was very supportive of others. He was a great supporter of the Middleton Optimist Club. He also was a great supporter of the University of Illinois - may alma mater. Our blessings to the family.

Dear Karyn and family,
You have our deepest sympathy on your fathers passing. He was blessed to have you as his daughter, as are you to have Tom as your father.

God Bless, Tom. He was a bright spot in an often cynical world. We were co-workers at a fundraising operation. He was hard working, polite and kind -- qualities to be well remembered. Best to his family during these challenging days.

Although I didn´t talk to Uncle Tom consistently, I sure did love the conversations I was blessed to have. He was full of stories from his past and helped me to know more about my dad, who passed away in 2003. I was always so impressed with his cheerful spirit, despite obstacles he had to overcome. It was and still is an inspiration to me. I pray he was reunited with his parents and my dad in a joyful celebration. Sending love and condolences to all his family.
