Kinos, Wayne D.
MADISON - Wayne D. Kinos, loving son, brother, and friend, earned his angel wings July 29, 2021. Wayne was born May 3, 1947, in Racine, Wis., to Vaco Kinos and Emilee Catherine Stiber Kinos. He grew up in Racine and attended UW-Madison, earning a B.A. in philosophy.
Wayne loved nature, animals, art, music (especially attending Madison music festivals), and photography. He worked as a computer programmer at the State of Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and retired in 2010. He was involved in various progressive political actions, starting with anti-Vietnam War protests, and was a strong supporter of Amnesty International.
After becoming ill, he continued to walk a mile every day, meet with friends for lunch, and enjoyed composing New Age music.
He is survived by his only and favorite brother, Ron; many friends; and fur friends, Sergio, Renee, Triscuit, and Sherman. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Thank you to Agrace Aging at Home and Agrace Hospice for their compassionate care.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Aug 18 at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona. Visitation will be held at 12 p.m. at the chapel.

I hadn't seen Wayne for many years and didn't know him well, but we interacted in progressive political actions years ago. I knew him as a kind, thoughtful, and generous person. This world is a better place because of Wayne. Wishing his family and other loved ones much comfort now and in the future.
