On September 10th, 1960, she married Robert (Bob) Armstrong in Madison South Dakota. In 1961 Pat and Bob relocated to the Chicago suburbs, eventually raising their family in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Pat was employed by the Quaker Oats Company in Barrington, Il for over 30 years making many lifelong friends.
Upon retirement Pat and Bob resided in Green Valley, AZ, eventually returning to Madison South Dakota to be near many dear family and friends.
Pat enjoyed a very full life of world travel, volunteering, church activities, entertaining and cheering on all the Chicago sports teams. Pat had an interest and enthusiasm in everything; she was the ultimate cheerleader for everyone in her life. A strong woman who was very determined no matter what the circumstances, she never lost hope. Loved by all.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Alice Kadinger; husband, Robert Paul Armstrong; father and mother-in-law, Paul & Iva Armstrong; brothers/sisters in-law: Terrance Armstrong, Lola Armstrong, William Armstrong, Janet Armstrong, Lawrence Armstrong, JoAnn Armstrong, Ed Terrio and Orville Bau.
She is survived by her children, Thomas Armstrong of Las Vegas, NV, Lori Armstrong-Hartmen (Don) of Geneva, IL and Travis Armstrong (Dana) of Crete, IL; granddaughter, Caroline Hartman of Milwaukee, WI; sisters, Luella Bau of DeSmet, SD, Shirley Terrio of Madison SD, Cindy Van Dyke, Madison SD and Carol Kadinger of Madison SD and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Peaceful Pines Senior Living and Good Samaritan Society for the care and compassion extended to Pat these last years.
