Brian Rice Obituary

Brian Jere Rice

September 13, 1962 - November 27, 2024

After a courageous 10-month battle with an incurable lung disease, answering the Lord's call and surrounded by angels, Brian took his Final Ride Home. He passed peacefully at home with his wife, Debi, and this man's best friend, his dog, Charlee, at his side.

Brian graduated from Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Arizona and was a Whiz at small engine & boat mechanics. He was employed at J&J Enterprises for 23 years, and he came highly recommended by STIHL and our local fire departments.

Brian loved the outdoors and adventures like motorcycle riding, racing, snow skiing, and jet skiing. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, proudly creating many memories as father and son expeditions with his son Mitchell and many of Mitchell's friends, who nicknamed him "Bridog."

He was a legendary storyteller with his tales and funny stories. He had a way of making you feel like everything you said was the most interesting and exciting thing he had ever heard.

He was an extremely talented and funny guy. He was an artist, a dog whisperer, a comic, and did hilarious impersonations that could make you burst out loud laughing. And he was pretty good at drinking beer. He was a devoted husband and father and cherished his family.

Brian is survived by his wife Debi of 34 years, his sons; Mitchell (MeKenzie) Rice and Dylan Byrne, 6 grandchildren; Kyln Hutchinson, Lucy and Kysn Byrne, Parker, Aubree, and Owen Rice his sister; Teresa (John) Prescott, nieces; Christy (Steve) Hall and Shelly Rice and nephew; Randy Rice.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and the sweetest mother, Edna (Brown) Rice, brother, Bradley Walter Rice, and three best friends: Howard (Shelia) Robinson, Rodney Townes, and Warren (Annette) Snook.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Centennial Waterfront Park in Twin Falls. We'll have food, cold drinks, a covered pavilion for shade, and plenty of memories to share. And because Brian always loved a good time on the water, we'll be cruising on a pontoon - bring your laughter, your stories, and your smiles.

Arrangements are under the care of Wilks Magic Valley Funeral Home. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.magicvalleyfuneralhome.com.
