Jason Scott Johnson

May 12, 1970 - February 21, 2026

Jason Scott Johnson, born on May 12, 1970, in Spokane, Wash., passed away on February 21, 2026, in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was a cherished member of his community and a beloved son brother, uncle and cousin.

Jason is survived by his devoted parents, John and Diane Johnson; his brother, Aaron Johnson; and his niece and nephew, Madison and Connor Johnson. He also leaves behind loving relatives, including his uncle and aunt, Gary (Bub) Johnson and Brenda Thomas; as well as his cousins, Alex Johnson and Mattie Johnson.

Jason graduated from Twin Falls High School before furthering his education at the University of Idaho, where he was an active member of the Pi Kappa Alpha (Pike) fraternity. Throughout his life, he was known for his infectious enthusiasm and larger-than-life personality, which left a lasting impression on everyone he met. One relative noted, "He took up a lot of space with his dynamic personality," a testament to the warmth and joy he brought to those around him.

An avid skier and camper, Jason found immense joy in the great outdoors and shared countless adventures with family and friends. His zest for life was palpable, and his capacity to love unconditionally created bonds that will endure beyond his time.

A private service is scheduled for next summer, during which his ashes will be scattered alongside those of his beloved dog, Ella. Further details will be shared with loved ones as the date approaches.

Jason's legacy will be remembered by all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by family and friends. Jason had many struggles the last few years and we pray that he now is at peace.
