Kathy Marie Linzy-Kossman
November 30, 1951 - October 26, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kathy Marie Linzy-Kossman announce her passing on October 26th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Kathy was born on November 30th, 1951, in Burley Idaho, to parents Allen and Clara (Freiburger) Linzy, the second of four children.
Kathy resided at West Magic, Idaho, the home she loved, at the time of her passing. She previously resided in Springdale, where she raised her children and lived many happy years.
Kathy received her education in Burley, Idaho. She graduated from Burley High School in 1969. She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Kathy began her working years at a young age on her parents' farm. As a teenager she worked at AC Drive-In. She then worked for many years as a CNA at the Burley Care Center. She worked for Simplot until the Heyburn plant was closed. She spent her last working years at MTP Cleaning and Amalgamated Sugar.
Kathy grew up in a farming family. She was instilled with a strong work ethic that lasted a lifetime.
Kathy married Kerry Kossman on November 22nd, 1973, and they were remarried on November 23rd, 2011.
Kathy was blessed with five children. She was a wonderful and devoted mother. Through even the hardest of times, her children wanted for nothing. They always had a warm meal, a warm home, and endless unwavering love and support.
Upon retirement, Kathy and Kerry moved to their summer home in West Magic. She loved the peace and quiet of her home. She could freely enjoy four-wheeling, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends, who she so deeply loved.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Kerry Kossman, children; Bonnie Child (Jeremy Fowler), Justin (Sarah) Kossman, Kara (Brandon) Endres, and Linzy (Derek) Self; grandchildren; Derek (Gabi) Kossman, Matthew Child, Sabrina and Xavier Charley, Claire and Eva Self, Vinny Endres and five beautiful great- grandchildren; her sister, Mary Ann Critchfield; and her dear family friend, Jacque Garner.
Kathy was preceded in death by her son, Wade Mai; her granddaughter Shelbbi Bean; her parents, Allen and Clara Linzy; and her brothers, Dennis and David Linzy.
Kathy will be remembered as a truly selfless person. She put her family first, always. No one ever left her home without a full stomach and a full heart. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and love to all her friends and family.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Emergency and ICU staff at St. Lukes, Twin Falls. Your exemplary kindness and care are truly appreciated.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, November 3, 2025, with a viewing one hour prior to the services at Hansen Mortuary. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
