Kenneth "Ken" Duane Anderson lost his 5 year battle with cancer on November 20, 2024. He was born July 10, 1965, in Torrance, CA, and was the caboose of five children. Ken was raised at Anderson Camp and learned to work at an early age. He attended school at Valley School District.
Ken was his older brother's sidekick at hunting, fishing, and even going on dates. His favorite place was off the coast of Washington deep-sea fishing with his family. He was a sports fan of the World Series, Philadelphia Eagle, and NASCAR, enjoyed playing pool and loved anything Snoopy.
Ken worked for Crist and Sons Construction, and he became very talented at finishing work.
He found his soulmate in Blanca Mercado. She was a wonderful companion and the love of his life. She brought with her a chance for him to be a dad and grandpa, and he loved them all very much.
He, with Blanca by his side, was able to assist in caregiving for his parents. These were treasured moments they looked forward to.
Ken was preceded in death by his brother, Larrey Dean Anderson, Jr; and brother-in-law, Chad Ward Wright.
He is survived by his parents, Larrey and Retha Anderson of Jerome; sisters: Cherie Wright of Springville UT, MaryAnn Stanger (Mark) of Jerome, and Carol Olson (Brett) of Twin Falls; sister-in-law, Eileen McDevitt of Twin Falls; wife, Blanca Mercado Anderson of Jerome; children: Yuyuki Laurian of Jerome, Gabriel Michael Laurian of Corpus Christi, TX, Oyuki Cox (Brandon) of Wendell, and Suyuki Laurian of Jerome; grandchildren: Josian Bravo, Jaelyn Bravo, Yatzil Laurian, and Jaeden Bravo; and over 130 nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the many doctors and nurses at St. Lukes in Twin Falls for their dedication to his care.
A viewing will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2024, at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S. Lincoln Ave., Jerome. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Farnsworth Mortuary. A Celebration of Life will follow the service from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Northside Bar, 152 W. Main St., Jerome.

Kenneth always had a smile on his face. I remember in 5th grade he took our whole class of 52 to Anderson Camp and we played on the new water slide. On my birthday that year he gave me a pair of dangling earrings. I loved them . I´m sure I can speak for all of us, the class of 1984, that you will be missed . Much love and prayers to the Anderson family.

From the 3rd time I talked with him, we were connected as friends. I am a person that hugs people, and I didn't know that Kenny's girlfriend Nancy had passed away. So he asked me if he could have one of those hugs that I give. I said sure and as I put my arms around him he just broke down and wept. I was shocked, didn't know what was wrong so I just kept holding on to him. Then he got regrouped and apologized. I was then told about her and understood. But every time we saw each other we would hug and say I am glad you got to see me. I will miss my buddy. Blanca, you are loved and thought of often my friend. My heart goes with you at this time. God be with you.
