Leon Elroy Klimes

October 23, 1950 - January 10, 2025

JEROME - Leon Elroy Klimes, 74, of Jerome, Idaho, a loving Father, Uncle, and friend, passed away on January 10, 2025. He was born in Wendell, Idaho on October 23, 1950, to Jerry and Lillie Mae Klimes.

Leon graduated from Jerome High School in the class of 1969, having competed at a state level in wrestling for the Tigers. He had a successful career in aquaculture which spanned over fifty years and was a passionate bowler and golfer. His sense of humor and quick wit will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Lillie; and his sister, Carol Olsen.

He is survived by brother, Gary (Mickey) Klimes of Cottonwood, Ariz.; sister, Althea Labrum of Washington, Utah; and his sons, Nicholas Leon (Aki) Klimes of Hillsboro, Ore.; and Joel Easton Klimes (Tara Braden) of Meridian, Idaho; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of services, a celebration of life will take place at a later date.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Hospice Visions for their kind and compassionate care
