Mary Lou Pierce Obituary

Mary Lou was born in Joes, Colorado, to Curtis and Fannie Scofield Pryor. She moved with her family to Buhl, Idaho, when she was ten. She grew up there and graduated from Buhl High School in 1945. From there she embarked on a lifetime of adventure, working at many different jobs but making her career primarily with Bell Telephone. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, solving picture and word puzzles, beading, and spending time with her friends playing cards and visiting. She and her husband Wayne founded the Idaho Motorcycle Club in the 1970s and together they enjoyed motorcycle touring. She spent her final years in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania and passed away at the age of 96.

Mary Lou is survived by her sister Dorothy Moon of Buhl; her daughter Suzi Dofelmire of Columbia Falls, Montana; and her stepdaughters Tamora Pierce of Syracuse, New York, and Kimberly Bagby of Virgilina, Virginia. She also had many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and she was happy to talk about them. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bill Pryor, her husband Wayne Pierce, her son Gordon Morrissey, and her son Roland Morrissey, all of Buhl.

No services are planned at this time.
