Ralph Von Dohln "Ralphie" Maughan
October 4, 1983 - January 18, 2022
Ralph Von Dohln "Ralphie" Maughan gained his angel wings on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Ralph was born on October 4, 1983, to James Ralph Maughan Sr. and Karen Von Dohln Maughan in Tonopah, Nevada. Born into a family of outdoorsmen, Ralph from a very young age learned to shoot, ride four-wheelers, motorcycles and gained a passion for hunting and fishing while simply enjoying the outdoors with family and friends. This is where he found and developed a true love for the outdoors and adventures.
Ralph spent his childhood in Tonopah, Nevada, and his teenage years in Tooele Utah, and then moved to Spanish Fork Utah where he graduated from Landmark High School in 2002. Soon after graduation, Ralph moved to Twin Falls Idaho with his father, Jim, and little brother Kirk to start a new family business and life chapter.
A few years later Ralph met Danielle Jensen-Bigelow and they were blessed with a son, Teghan in 2007. Through one of life's hard times, he returned home, to Twin Falls with his father and gained employment on the Oil Rigs in Nevada where he worked hard and loved every minute of it.
In 2010 Ralphs's dream finally came true and he met the love of his life Megan Foster and was blessed with three more children Audra, McKenna, and Leland and he was finally complete.
Ralph never met a stranger. He could carry on a conversation with anyone. He loved nothing more than to sit around and tell stories and laugh. He strived to put a smile on every person he came in contact with. Always laughing, and having that "Ralphie Smile" on his face.
Hungry for adventure, Ralph was a man of many talents, in work and recreational.
He loved video games, shooting, driving ATVs, surfing, frisbee golfing, fishing, hunting, trap shooting, and spending time with his family. He found pleasure in sharing all of his passions with all his children, nieces, and nephews
Ralph worked jobs in construction for his father's business, and local home setting companies. He also spent some time working in the Gold and Oil Drilling Industry and local factories.
To know Ralph Maughan, was to know a true friend, a man of his word, and with a heart of gold. He would give the shirt off his back to a total stranger with a smile on his face.
