Charlotte Zenko Obituary

Charlotte L. Zenko, age 81, of Hubbard passed away peacefully at home on Sunday February 25, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Charlotte was born July 22, 1942 in Youngstown, Ohio. She was a daughter of William J. & Josephine Noga Davies. She was a 1960 graduate of Poland Seminary, and a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. She worked at Superior Chemical in Youngstown for 11 years, until becoming a stay-at-home Mom raising her three children. Charlotte enjoyed various pastimes, such as bowling, "Cousins Night," her high school card club, and watching Judge Judy. She also loved her Cleveland Indians, rarely missing a game on TV. She was a very gifted artist, always drawing pictures for her grandchildren. Anyone who knew Charlotte, also knew her deep affection for sweets. She had been known to pull a doughnut from her purse in a time of need. She loved to spend time outdoors, especially taking walks around the neighborhood with her dogs, or sitting on her backyard swing. She took great pride in her outstanding cooking and baking abilities, particularly her famous cookies and kolachi. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family; her husband Ronald W. Zenko Sr. whom she married October 11, 1969, her children Tracy L. Zenko of Hubbard, Ronald W. (Heidi) Zenko Jr. of Canfield, and Kari Zenko of Hubbard; her grandchildren Cameron Zenko, Ethan Husted, Mackenzie Zenko, Nicholas Zenko, and her dog Lexie. She also leaves her brother Joseph Davies of Maryland, her brother-in-law Andy Zenko of Hubbard, cousin MaryAnn Trock of Georgia, and several nieces and nephews. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Susan Zenko, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Alex & Becky Zenko, and brother-in-law George Zenko. Per Charlotte's request, there will be no services. However, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Charity of Ohio 4140 Market Street Boardman, Ohio 44512. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to visit the funeral home's website at www.stewart-kyle.com to share memories and condolences. To send a flower arrangement or to plant trees in memory of Charlotte L. Aunt Charlotte and the fam. Just thinking how much I miss her cards with heavy underlines of favorite points, cursive writing a new $ inside.(wasn´t going to send wrinkled !). THE Best homemade pizza I ever had, chicken francais dinner, me going to Belmont Ave to bring her fresh donuts. Her hair and lipstick always perfect. I´m typing this before the one year anniversary of her meeting up with family & friends in heaven. While I have the emotional bandwidth to say- I miss her and Love to Uncle Ron, the kids & grandkids. Ron , Tracey, Kari, and Ron.....we loved Charlotte so much. I can still taste her fabulous Kolachi especially the apricot nut combo. I can still see David and Justin toddling home with her little bags of French fries. All our love and condolences. Diane and family.
