Clinton Van Kirk Obituary
Clinton T. Van Kirk, 49
POLAND…With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Clinton "Clint" T. Van Kirk, 49, of Poland, Ohio, formerly of New Waterford. Clint passed away on July 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and lasting memories. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished grandfather, and a beloved family member and friend. Known for his sharp wit, infectious sense of humor, and genuine kindness, Clint had a rare gift for making others feel seen, safe, and valued. He truly lived life to the fullest - embracing each day with passion, purpose, and joy.
He shared a beautiful life with his high school sweetheart and wife, Heather. The two were just weeks away from celebrating their 27th wedding anniversary on July 25. Together, they built a home full of warmth, laughter, and love. Clint was a caring father to Lily (Kenny) Van Kirk and Red Van Kirk, and nothing brought him more happiness than being Grampa to his beloved granddaughter, Anastasia.
Clint had a deep love for the outdoors and found peace and wonder in nature. Whether he was camping under the stars, hiking forest trails, exploring zoos with his family, or walking barefoot along the beach, Clint found joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life. These were the experiences he held most dear - times of togetherness, quiet reflection, and shared adventure.
He worked for R+L Carriers in Columbiana, where he was respected and admired for his dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic.
Clint is survived by his loving wife Heather; children Lily and Red; and granddaughter Anastasia. He also leaves behind his sister Gina (Fred) Unger of New Waterford; nieces Ashton (Kevin) Fusselman of Uniontown and Vaughn (Brandon) Unger of Columbiana; and great-nephews Harrison and Jameson Fusselman. Each of them carries with them a part of Clint's enduring spirit.
A celebration of Clint's life will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. at the Village Community Hall in New Waterford. All who knew and loved Clint are welcome to gather in remembrance and honor of a life so beautifully lived.
Though his time with us was far too short, the love Clint gave and the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be missed deeply, loved always, and remembered with joy.
In remembrance of Clint's deep love for the outdoors, the family respectfully requests no flowers as a tribute to Clint's love for the outdoors. Please consider planting a tree in Clint's memory.
