Gwendolyn L. Seljan

Gwendolyn L. Seljan, 84, of Cortland, OH passed away Monday, September 29, 2025, at her home. She was born March 3, 1941, in Aleppo, PA, the daughter of the late Ralph Whipkey and the late Genevieve (Moose) Whipkey. Gwendolyn was a graduate of Harding High School. She retired from General Electric Ohio Lamp Plant after 41 years. She was a lifetime member of The Salvation Army Church. Gwendolyn enjoyed reading, gardening, antiques, and spending time at their vacation home in Restoule, Ontario. She is survived by her husband, Harry "Art" Seljan; sister-in-law, Marilyn Whipkey; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Whipkey. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home and again one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any material contributions be made to The Salvation Army, in her memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
