Youngstown - Jaime Lynn Dorman Guidos, 46, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic's Hillcrest Hospital, following a recent diagnosis of cancer.
Born February 16, 1978 in Waycross, GA, Jaime was the youngest child of Arlie and Annette (Strutman) Dorman, Sr.. In her early childhood, Jaime and her family relocated to the Mahoning Valley, where she grew up and graduated from Struthers High School in 1996. She pursued higher education at Youngstown State University, earning her Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting in 2000. For over two decades, Jaime dedicated herself to her work as a medical assistant at the Midlothian Medical Center.
Jaime's life was enriched by her strong faith. She was a former member of Faith Fellowship Church of God, where she shared of her love for music by singing with the Worship Team. More recently, she attended New Life Church and enjoyed contributing her time and energy to the Kid's Ministry.
One of Jaime's favorite pastimes was shopping, particularly the thrill of finding a great bargain. Many of her shopping finds were used to decorate her home for the seasons and holidays, with Christmastime being her favorite. She treasured the moments spent with her family and especially loved the tradition of gathering around the table to play board games. Jaime's warm heart extended beyond people to animals as well. Through the years, she enjoyed the companionship of her favorite pups, Elliot and Carson.
Jaime's kindness, compassion for others, and her ever-present smile will be missed by so many. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to shine brightly.
In addition to her parents, Arlie and Annette, Jaime is survived by her sisters, Julie Hamilton and Jeanette (Mike) Clark, all of Poland; nieces and nephews, Brian Nelson, Bobby (Loni) Nelson, Christopher Dorman, Mara (Shay) Dorman, Greg (Meredith) Hamilton, Holly Hamilton, Brad (Dana) Hamilton, Alex Williams, Allison Williams, and Abby Williams; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and her lifelong best friend, Jamie Kinnick and her daughter, Madison.
Jaime was preceded in death by her brother, Arlie "Gordon" Dorman, Jr..
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman, where a memorial service will follow at 1 p.m.. Interment will be at Tod Homestead Cemetery.
