James Seiple Obituary

James "Gordie" Seiple, age 68, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, at UPMC Horizon-Shenango Valley, having spent the weekend surrounded by those who loved him. Gordie was born on July 11, 1956, in Greenville, PA, to his parents, Thomas and Linda (Lytle) Seiple. He made his home in Jamestown, PA, for most of his adult life. He attended Greenville Senior High School, class of 1975, and Mercer County Vo-Tech for welding. He was employed at Greenville Steel Car and Hodge Foundry. He was an avid guitar player, hunter, and fisherman. Gordie cherished spending time with family, friends, and his dog Boo at Pymatuning Lake. During the holiday, he enjoyed dressing up as Santa Claus for different events in the surrounding communities, bringing joy to children, family, and friends. He was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, and grandfather, who is survived by his father, Thomas Seiple; two sisters, Debra (Seiple) Godinich, and Julie (Seiple) Roberts; his children, Heather Foreman, Rachelle Carter, Aaron Gregory, Lindsey Stankovic, and Jenny Gaines; his nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Roberts, Nichole Cain, Andy Godinich, Danny Godinich, and Lydia Aley. He is also survived by many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gordie was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Seiple; and two brothers-in-law, Jeff Roberts and Mike Godinich. Upon his request, there will be no funeral services. His family will be holding A Celebration of Life on a future date.
