Jeanne Baugh Obituary

On Saturday, May 31, 2025, at approximately 7:37 p.m., Jeanne Denise Baugh, 67, of Warren, OH, peacefully rode off to her Heavenly home into the arms of her late parents, Clara B. Bryant and Joseph R. Bryant, Sr. Born on August 13, 1957, in Warren, Jeanne was a vibrant, outgoing soul who never met a stranger. Her warmth and love of conversation made every encounter memorable; she thrived on connecting, socializing, and bringing people together. Jeanne graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1975 and went on to earn a Master's Degree in Community Health and Social Work from the University of Cincinnati. Guided by her passion for helping others, she dedicated her career to counseling and advocacy at Valley Counseling Services, the Dulaney Center, Rebecca Williams Community Center, the Urban League, and her alma mater, Warren G. Harding High School. Her years of service included time as a member of Leadership Warren, a committee of distinguished citizens chosen to work on civic issues in the community. After the area's devastating tornado in 1985, she served on a disaster recovery team. She was also a volunteer at The Christy House in Warren. Jeanne's faith was the cornerstone of her life. Even in illness, she remained devoted to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, finding peace and joy in attending church. She also enjoyed classic films, reading, collecting African American art, cooking, crafting, dancing, shopping, traveling, and adventures such as visiting amusement parks, horseback riding, and skating. Her legacy of love will live on through her daughter, Keyna Baugh of Charlotte, NC; son, David Baugh of Warren; brother, Bruce (Angie) Davenport of Warren; four sisters, Mary (Jesse) Jones of Charlotte, NC, Delphine Wilson James of Moore, SC, Sandra (Harry) Pugh and Linda (Phillip) Conyers of Warren; special aunt, Dorothy Morgan (Jimmy Butler) of Warren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents; four sisters, Shirley Jones, Evelyn Elkins, Pauline Davenport and Belinda Davenport and one brother, Joseph R. Bryant, Jr. Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 13, at Inspiring Minds, 837 Woodland Ave NE, Warren, OH 44483, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Jeanne's celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14, at the Second Baptist Church: A House of Hope. Calling hours will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a closed-casket memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Just as they shared a room in childhood, she will be laid to rest beside her beloved sister Belinda in Oakwood Cemetery-together once more, in eternal peace.
