AUSTINTOWN - Kathleen Frances Price, 81, passed at Briarfield Manor on January 30, 2025.
She was born on April 19, 1943, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Frank and Margaret (Repasky) Garasic.
Kathy was a 1964 graduate of the Youngstown School of Nursing. She enjoyed serving others through her work as a nurse, having spent many years at both South Side and North Side Hospitals.
In her personal life, Kathy was a spirited Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. She had a special talent for baking, particularly kolachi, and delighted in sharing her creations with friends and family. She enjoyed going to lunch with her former co-workers and nurturing lasting friendships. Additionally, Kathy was an active member of St. Patrick Church, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Altar Guild.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Thomas Price, whom she married on May 28, 1966; son, Tim (Tracey) Price; daughter, Stephanie Price; sister, Patricia Garasic; granddaughters, Courtney (Sid) Yadav, Jordan Price, and Samantha Price.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Beth; son, Jamie Price; and sister, Mary Owens.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 2 to 4pm at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 4303 Mahoning Ave.
Prayers will begin at 10:15am on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the funeral home followed by an 11am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Church in Youngstown. Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathy’s memory may be sent to St. Patrick Church.
