Leslie Auck Obituary

Leslie W. Auck
9/23/27 – 3/9/23
Leslie was born in Garrison, ND, son of Edwin and Helen Auck. The family moved to Sawyer, ND where he farmed with his family. Leslie later worked at Quality Lignite Coal Mine and was a foreman with Ward County Highway Dept. Leslie married Marjorie Hiland in 1949 and they later moved to Minot where he worked at Minot AFB. He also took part time jobs as a truck driver and a moving and storage job for extra money. When he had free time, he went with the family to Minot Fairgrounds and raced a stock car with his friends. In 1967 the family moved to Seattle, WA where he installed fireplaces. Eventually he became a shareholder at North Pacific Plywood in Tacoma and later Graham. They moved to Puyallup in the early 70's. He retired in 1986.
Les loved to fish and hunt with family and friends, smoking fish and making deer sausage. He loved family and friend get-togethers where there was always a deck of cards close by and much fun. He enjoyed working with his hands and didn't mind hard work. He was a loyal, dependable fair and proud man. Les and Marjorie were married 65 years until she passed away in 2016. Son Ronald passed away in 2015. Les spent his last year in Tucson, AZ and until his death at 95.
Les is survived by Gerald Auck, Puyallup, WA; Laura/Dennis Frank, Ocean Shores, WA; Linda Hendrickson, Tucson, AZ; Kathi/Dale Weleba, Tucson, AZ; Traci/Dave Herrington, Del Rio, TX; 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
He is Forever in "All" our Hearts
