Lori Callahan Obituary

Lori L. Callahan of Hermitage, PA, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Lori was born on September 9, 1972, in Sharon, a daughter of James E. and Doris A. Callahan. Her journey in life was a difficult one, but God gives the strongest soldiers the toughest battles. She was a Hickory High School graduate, where she played the flute in the marching band. She continued her love of music and the flute by playing in the Mercer County Community Band and the Buhl Community Band. Lori graduated from Penn State Shenango and was a faithful Nittany Lion "Go State." Lori spread a little sparkle and kindness wherever she went. She is survived by her sister, Denise Hubicz (Raymond); two brothers, James J. Callahan and Brian Callahan; and a niece, Jennifer Pander (Joel) Lori was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Community Counseling Center of Mercer County, www.cccmer.org, 2201 East State St., Hermitage, PA 16148; or the Mental Health Association of Mercer County, 319 Stambaugh Ave., Sharon, PA 16146. Calling hours will be 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday (10/22/2024) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McGonigleFuneralHomeandCrematory.com Funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. Tuesday, in the funeral home. Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
