Lucille Puhak Obituary

Lucille (Lucy) M. Zupko Puhak, 87 BROOKFIELD Lucille (Lucy) M. Zupko Puhak, 87 passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 6, 2025. Lucille was born September 7, 1938 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of Michael J. and Anna ( Ekoniak) Zupko. She was a 1957 graduate of East High School and she worked as a title clerk at the court house in the early 1960's. Lucille met and fell in love with her soulmate, John M. Puhak Jr. They were wed on October 3, 1964 in Campbell, Ohio. She had 2 children, whom she cherished. Lucille was a devoted homemaker and mother. She enjoyed watching her Cowboys and Yankees. She had a love for all animals, especially dogs. She loved her crossword puzzles and spending time with her grand dogs and her daughter. Lucille will be deeply missed and always remembered by her daughter, Lucille "LouAnn" (David) Bajnok, with whom she made her home; brothers-in-law, Paul (Kathy) Puhak of Maryland and Edward (Margaret) Puhak of Campbell, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved grand dogs, Loki, Lola, Bandit, Petey, Bowie, Bella and Danica. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; her son John Puhak III and a brother, Frank Zupko. The Puhak family has entrusted Lucille's care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio. Private Family Funeral Services were held on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the funeral home. Lucille will be laid to rest beside her husband at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville, Ohio. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Lucille M.
