Margaret Jones Obituary

Margaret (Peggy) L. Jones, 94, of Braceville, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family after a feisty battle with cancer. Peggy was born in Warren, Ohio to Glenn and Margaret (O'Neill) Walker. She graduated from Warren G. Harding and became a lifelong resident of Braceville after marrying the love of her life Dave Jones in 1952. They celebrated 64 wonderful years of marriage together and had four beautiful children; two boys and two girls. Peggy worked at the former Variety Center in Newton Falls, Dunlap & Son Plumbing and worked for 20 years at Riverview Golf Course in Braceville. Peggy knew no stranger and so many wonderful friends became family over the years. She was kind, helpful, and giving and loved to make everyone laugh. She was always bringing in handmade gifts or snacks to everyone she loved. Most of all, Peggy loved spending time with her family and crafting. She had a knack for making wreaths, Christmas decor and homemade cards. Over the past couple years, Peggy made thousands of Christmas cards to pass out to Veterans and nursing homes in the area to spread joy and Christmas cheer. Peggy loved to go out for a day trip, play cards, meet with her school friends for lunch monthly and relax on her front porch. She loved attending her grandkids sports and watching the Ohio State and Cleveland Browns football games on the weekends. She will be greatly missed by her two daughters Linda Jones, of Salem, and Sue (Terry) Warner, of Leavittsburg, grandsons; Brian (Jocelynne) Warner, of Southington, Eric (Brittany) Warner of Leavittsburg, Tim (Candice) Jones of Salem, AJ (Angel) Jones of Braceville, only granddaughter; Carly Jones of Braceville, 7 great grandchildren; Collin O'Brien & Maclayne Warner, Katie & Connor Jones, Finnley & Kasen Warner and Gatlin Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband; Dave Jones, two sons; James (Jim) Jones and Robert (Bobby) Jones, her parents; Glenn and Margaret Walker, siblings; Pat (Harry) Dunlap, Mary Walker and James Walker and two great-grandchildren; Timothy & Aubrey Jones. A special thank you to her caregiver and family friend, Paula McVicker for all of the care and friendship she provided Peggy. Thank you to Dr. Giuseppucci and his wonderful staff as well as Ohio Living Hospice for the care they provided.
