Mary Shaffer Obituary

BROOKFIELD – Mary M. Shaffer, age 76, formerly of Leavittsburg and Newton Falls, entered into eternal rest Monday, May 12, 2025 at Liberty Health Care Center. She was born August 29, 1948 in Warren, the daughter of Joseph and Bonita M. (Myers) Serotko. Mary attended Leavittsburg schools and retired, as a cashier and familiar face, from the Short Stop Truck Plaza. She attended the Leavittsburg Church of God. Mary loved to go shopping for clothes and jewelry. An avid golfer and bowler, she also enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas. Precious memories of Mary live on with her three children: Ronald Shaffer (Candace), Pamela Ferraro (John), and Michael Shaffer; nine grandchildren: Alisa Eisenwein, Julie McAdams, Jessica and Danielle Ferraro, Steven, Kaitlyn, Leah, Lauren, and Mikey Shaffer; two great-grandchildren: Audrina Smith and Theo Eisenwein; six sisters: Linda Trautman (Bob), Karen Wright (Daryl), Bonnie Starkey (Darryl), Kathy Wells, Susan Perich, and Beth Harris; one brother, Arthur Serotko; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents; her granddaughter, Samantha; her grandson, Richard; and two brothers, Joe and James Serotko. Friends and family are invited to a gathering from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Friday, May 16, 2025 at the Sunrise Inn, 510 East Market Street, Warren. All who knew and loved Mary are welcome to attend and celebrate her amazing life. Arrangements are entrusted to Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren, Ohio 44483, 330- 394-6200.
