Nicole Rudd Obituary
Nicole Lee (Morocco) Rudd passed away unexpectedly on September 19, 2025, at her residence in Bradenton, FL. She was 38.
Nicole was born May 19, 1987 to Nick and Debbi (Small) Morocco in Farrell. She was a loving, wonderful daughter to her parents and sister to her brother Jim from the beginning. As a youngster, she was involved in baton, softball, and basketball. She was always hard working, honest, and truly a joy to have as a child.
She was a 2005 Sharon High School graduate, where she was a varsity cheerleader. She then attended Slippery Rock University, graduating in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a minor in middle school language arts. After graduation, she was a substitute teacher at several area schools before accepting a position with the ARC of Mercer County, where she became a supervisor. For the past several years, she has been working as an Implementation Project Manager at Xactware.
In 2005, she met Matthew Rudd and the two immediately became inseparable. They were married August 10, 2013, in a beautiful ceremony in Matt's hometown of Warren, OH. Nicole and Matt's love for one another was obvious to anyone in their presence. Nicole loved, cherished, and respected Matt with all her heart. The immediate family will always recognize Matt as a true son and brother, and are so grateful for him having been Nicole's partner.
As a child, Nicole and Jim, whom she was so proud of, grew up almost like siblings with two special cousins: Ryan Sarazen (Jessica Cohn) of Charlotte, NC and Michele Sarazen (RJ Littley) of Princeton, NJ. They spent thousands of hours together at Nunny and Grandpa Don Small's house in Sharon. The bonds that were formed among the cousins have always remained strong. Ryan and Michele will miss Nicole dearly.
Nicole also had a close special relationship with two beautiful nieces, Zaylee and Rilee Morocco. Aunt 'Cole spent as much quality time with the girls as possible. She and Uncle Matt were the "coolest" aunt and uncle you could ever find. The girls will miss her always.
Nicole loved traveling, the beach, shopping, going to Pittsburgh Pirates games, and the band Hanson. She became enamored with them as a young girl and dragged family members to as many Hanson concerts as possible, even recently with Matt. Nicole will be greatly remembered by all who knew her.
Besides her husband Matt, her parents, Nick and Debbi, of Sharon, and her brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Virginia Morocco, of Hermitage, Nicole is survived by her mother-in-law, Bonnie Bock, of Warren, OH; father-in-law, David (Lisa) Rudd, of Bristol, TN; brothers-in-law, Brian (Sarah) Rudd, of Warren, OH and Michael Rudd, of Berlin Center, OH; two very close aunts, Donna Sarazen, of Sharon, and Jean Occhibone, of Hermitage; and several other nieces and nephews.
Nicole was preceded in death by her grandparents and a favorite uncle, Gene Sarazen.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations are directed to the Arc of Mercer County, 850 N. Hermitage Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday (10-5-25) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
A Memorial Service will be held immediately following at 4 p.m., in the funeral home, with Pastor David Searle, officiating.
