Raymond Byrd Obituary

Obituary For Raymond C. Byrd, Jr. Raymond Carl Byrd Jr. was born December 20, 2007 in Canton, OH to LaDonna DeVeaux and Raymond Carl Byrd Sr. Raymond departed this earth to be with his heavenly Father July 14, 2023. He was a tenth grade student at McKinley Sr. High School. Raymond loved to play soccer, basketball, football, and wrestling but still excelled at every sport he played. He had always dreamed of being a professional soccer player one day. Raymond enjoyed spending one-on-one time with his mother, especially when they had their special dates. He also valued his time with his sister, Rayell, whose relationship had grown stronger and stronger as time went on. Raymond and his older brother, Korrell, had an understanding between them that few were able to match. He loved attending church and baking cookies with his "Suga Mama" (Marilyn Everett). Raymie, as his grandparents affectionately call him, enjoyed spending quality time with them and loved making money by assisting his grandfather, Toney, with his lawn care business. Money was a big motivator of his, and he used his creativity and quickly-learned skills to succeed in whatever he set his mind to. Preceded in death by Uncle Clarence Lamar Rutledge. He leaves to cherish his memory (mother) LaDonna DeVeaux; (father) Raymond Byrd Sr.; (brother) Korrell Deveaux; (sister) Rayell DeVeaux; (grandparents) Veronica and Toney Callahan Sr.; (grandmother) Marilyn Everett (Suga momma); (great grandparents) Diana and William Stevens Jr.; (uncles) Tony (Lydia) Callahan Jr., Noah Everrett, Odell Flowers; (aunts) Marilyn Sykes, Mellissa Sykes, Tanisha Callahan, Kanisha Callahan; (special aunt) Linda Smalls; (best friend and cousin) Jamir Pierce. Public Viewing will be held Thursday, 20th of July, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Zion's Temple Church of God. Services for Raymond Byrd Jr. will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Zion's Temple Church of God with Pastor George Lancaster officiating. Send flowers to the service of Raymond C. Byrd, Jr.

I sadly never met my, Nephew. I am his father's half-sister.
Sincere condolences to all the family who grieve his loss. The loss of a child has got to be an unfathomable pain.
The journey of grief is infinite, but lessens a little over time.
Prayers to you all.

Raymond was in my science class and he was such a lively, respectful and caring student. He had such a great sense of humor. I am saddened to hear of his passing. He will truly be missed in the halls at McKinley high school. My condolences go out to his family and friends. Mrs. Smail
