Rhonda Lynn "Myers" Merriman

Rhonda Myers Merriman, 58, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 11, 2025. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Cleveland Clinic Lung Transplant Program and Team for their exceptional care, compassion, and support over the past five years. Born on January 2, 1967, in Warren, Ohio, Rhonda spent most of her life in Portage and Trumbull Counties, graduating from Southeast High School. She will be remembered for her love of life, her devotion to family and friends, and her passion for horses and the beach. Rhonda was preceded in death by her brother, Robbie Myers. She is survived by her loving parents, Valerie (Dietelbach) and Louis "Steve" Myers of Newton Falls, OH; her devoted partner of seventeen years, Richard "Dick" Bechler of Ravenna, OH; her brothers Richard (Diana) Myers of Brookfield, OH, and Ryan (Lisa) Myers of Newton Falls, OH; her cherished nephews Brady, Rob, Nick (Rebecca), and Joshua (Abi); and her cherished and beloved daughter Macie Renee and son-in-law Nathan (Nate) Mika, both of Newton Falls, OH. Those who knew Rhonda will forever remember her fun-loving nature, her readiness to enjoy life, and her unwavering strength. Her daughter, Macie, lovingly describes her as "strong, independent, and someone who wouldn't take any crap from anybody. She handled everything so well and was always there when you needed her." Her son-in-law, Nate, adds that Rhonda was "feisty and full of spirit and drive." Rhonda's light, laughter, and fierce love will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be at Newton Falls Cemetery on Friday Oct. 24, 2025 at 11:30am.
