Richard Myers Obituary

Richard Thomas Myers, 92, of Newton Falls, OH passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at University Hospital of Cleveland. He was born June 28, 1933, in Mineral Ridge, OH, a son of the late George Myers and the late Hannah (Brown) Myers. Richard attended Woodrow Wilson High School. He worked as a certified welder for many years. After retirement, he owned a small farm and raised beef cattle, along with pigs, sheep, goats and horses at one time or another. He lived most of this life in Newton Falls while enjoying winters in Brooksville, Florida for the past several years. He enjoyed farming, fishing, coon hunting, playing cards, tinkering around with anything that he could fix and most of all spending time with his family and friends and giving belly rubs to his dog Precious. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Myers of Newton Falls, OH; son, Daniel (Wilma) Myers of Deerfield, OH; daughters, Laurie Maus of Warren, OH and Virginia "Ginny" (Skip) Begeot of Newton Falls, OH; stepdaughters, Harriet (Jay) Reed of Boardman, OH and Phyllis (Brian) Multari of AZ; grandchildren, Daniel Myers, Jeannie Myers, Jarrad Myers, Andrew Sheely, Joshua Maus, Jayme Maus, Cory Begeot, Renee Shaffer, Jason Handy, Jeremy Scofield, Christopher Reed, Spencer Reed, Desiree Krogan, and Ian Multari; thirty-two great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Barb Cercone of Austintown, OH and Nancy Roberts of IN; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Richard T. Myers, Jr.; son-in-law, David Maus; brothers, Bill and Ted Myers; and sisters, Leona Rothwell, Virginia Myers, and Amy Falasca. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
