Rose Cavalier Obituary
Lowellville-Rose Ann Cavalier, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Sunday morning, July 7, 2024.
Rose was born November 29, 1930 in Youngstown, the daughter of Donato (Ellenico) and Mary (Medaglia) Lellio.
She was a graduate of Lowellville High School and worked many years at the Mahoning County Title Department where she was fondly referred to as "RC." She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church where she taught CCD classes in the mid 1960's.
Rose was always full of energy and seldom slowed her pace. Most people had a hard time keeping up with her while walking even when she approached 90 years old.
Family was all that mattered to her. She loved cooking for Sunday family dinners. Her mind was very sharp and could remember all family member birthdays, anniversaries, phone numbers, and even their dogs' birthdays.
On September 10, 1949 she married the love of her life, John "Jack" Cavalier Jr., who passed away March 29, 2012.
Rose will always be remembered by her two sons, Thomas (Shirley) Cavalier of Canfield, and John (Chris) Cavalier of Poland; daughter-in-law, Diane (John) Donofrio of Lowellville; eleven grandchildren, Dr. Christina (Dr. Justin) Clemow of Westlake, Brian (Rita) Cavalier of Westlake, Elizabeth (Erene) Calderon of Poland, Angela (Ben) Karmazin of Lowellville, Jacqueline (Chad) Truini of Dublin, Samantha (Ramon) Cavalier of New Middletown, Tony (Maddie) Donofrio of Struthers, Nicoletta (Cory) Papalas of Michigan, and Christopher, Cole, and Miranda Thomas; sixteen great-grandchildren, Chase, Cameryn, Anthony, Cassia, Rocco, Aria, Lucia, Elena, Benny, Livia, Gabby, Athena, Ares, Apollo, Amara, and Atlas; sister, Lucy Donofrio; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by her son, Mark; grandson, Chad; six siblings and their spouses, Virginia (Ben) Marapese, Dominic (Rose) Lellio, Angeline (Joe) Fuline, Frank J., Sr. (Nellie) Lellio, Andrew (Mary) Lellio, and Donald (Sandra) Lellio; brother-in-law, Tony Donofrio; nephews, Anthony Donofrio, Donald Lellio, and, Joe McCormick; and niece, Mary Jane McCormick.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial.
