Willie Gene Johnson

Willie Gene Johnson, 80, of Bristolville, OH passed away October 24, 2025 at St. Joseph Warren Hospital. He was born June 23, 1945 in Bonny Blue, VA, a son of the late Margaret (Lewis) and Samuel Johnson. Willie served in the Army. He then worked at General Motors until his retirement. Willie enjoyed gardening, fishing and boating. He was an active member at the Champion Church of God and liked attending Mens Fellowship. He also loved spending time with his family, particularly his wife up until her passing. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Lou Johnson; sons, Willie Johnson, Jr. and Timothy (Cheri) Johnson; grandchild, Briana (Reed), Victoria (Mitchell) and William (Lana); great-grandchild, Fisher, Melanie, Willow and Ryett and brothers, Roger (Debbie) and Robert. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Johnson; and siblings, Caroldeen, Gladysann, Samuel Jr. "Buddy", Gloria Jean, Darlene, Carry Jane, Hardy "Tommytoe", Michael and Donald. Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the Champion Church of God, where Rev. Dennie Land will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 and again one hour prior to the service at the Champion Church of God (590 Center Street E Warren, OH 44481). Carl W. Hall Funeral Home has been entrusted with his funeral arrangements.
