Sara Rennie Obituary

Sara Rennie (Munroe)

March 13, 1981 - June 26, 2022

Sara Ann Rennie (Munroe) passed away June 26, 2022 in Seattle. Our beloved daughter, sister and mother is released from her exhausted body. She is now at peace in God's arms after valiantly facing years of health issues. She is survived by the greatest loves of her life, her 7 year-old sons, Munroe and Noble Rennie.

Sara was born in Medford, Oregon. She lived most of her life in Talent attending Phoenix-Talent Schools and graduating from PHS in 1999. Since losing her arm to cancer at the age of 6, she inspired many others by her example of accomplishing anything she set her mind to. She was active in the Talented Feet Jump Rope Team, TMS Band, 4-H and FFA. An animal whisperer, she raised many animals and won awards showing them. She loved horses and was repeatedly a Jackson County 4-H representative at the Oregon State Fair. She was accomplished at Dressage and Event Jumping. She became a spokesperson for the Children's Miracle Network Telethon, and Kids Making Miracles for Doernbecher Children's Hospital. This earned her the Carpenter Distinguished Citizen Award for outstanding leadership in civic and community activities while a Junior in High School. She attended both SOU and Eastern Oregon University.

Sara is survived by her parents, Steve and MaryBeth Munroe, her sons, and her brother, Lane Munroe (Jenna). She was loved by her niece, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.

All family and friends are invited to the Celebration of Life for Sara on August 13, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am, at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church on Beebe Road in Central Point. Following, at 1:00, per Sara's wishes, a fun, upbeat informal BBQ will be held at the Orchard Home B & B in Medford, Oregon on South Stage Road. Sara wanted friends and family to know she did not fear death itself. It was not the end, but a new beginning. Her baptismal vows and those her two boys took a few weeks ago, ensure they will be reunited in Heaven.

Children and animals were Sara's greatest loves and passions. For that reason, she requested donations for her sons' college fund be made to the Key Bank on Black Oak. Zelle users may use the number 541-301-6211 and name MaryBeth Munroe to make automatic deposits.

Donations may also be made to the Southern Oregon Humane Society where many a four-legged friend found love and security in her home.

I remember Sara when she first faced the diagnosis of cancer at 6, and how she valiantly survived that and persevered to go become the fantastic woman and mother she was. My most favorite niece.
