Dear Barbara,
While I did not have the privilege of getting to know Stan, I always noticed his quiet smile and faithful presence in the back of the church as the choir practiced and at the door as we left. His peace and character shone through that smile and his presence.
You have been in my thoughts and prayers. May you know God's comfort, strength and peace as you grieve.
I was very saddened and will miss him as well.

Stanley was a giant among men! He lived his life with dignity, civility and unquestionable integrity. He cared for his family and loved his wife. He will be missed and I will live my life by his example. I hope to someday impact a positive influence on another young man's future like he influenced mine.
