Vida LaVoy Obituary

Vida LaVoy

3/4/2022 - 5/20/2022

Our sweet Mother passed away on a beautiful Spring Day. Vida was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert LaVoy. Vida is survived by daughters Dawn Beeman and Robin Weage & son Tim LaVoy, grandson Brendan Weage and sons in law Robert Beeman and Chris Weage.

She was a sweet and caring woman, always seeing the best in others.

Vida was an avid dancer, from ballroom and belly dancing to line dancing.

She was a talented seamstress & very creative at designing costumes for various dance presentations. When her children were young, she made amazing Halloween costumes for them.

Mom was never one to slow down. Shortly after she retired from Sears, she volunteered at Sam's Valley Elementary School as a foster grandparent working with the kids to create gardens & helped beautify the school grounds. To this day, Vida is still remembered for the joy she shared at the school.

After Robert LaVoy passed away, she moved to Washington to live next to her daughter Dawn & son in law Robert in Gold Bar, WA. There she put her Master Gardener talents to work and started immediately creating many creative gardens around her new home.

Mom quickly made new friends, became involved with the Friends of the Library in Sultan, WA, joined the Red Hat Ladies of Gold Bar, the Book Club and Line Dancing Group at the Monroe Senior Center. Vida lived a long and fulfilling life. Our lives have been blessed to have had her as a mother, friend and neighbor.
