Barry was a caring, fun-loving guy, with a sparkle in his eye and an ever-present smile. As an original member of the Swan Island Yacht Club, Barry loved spending time on his boat (or helping others with their boats) and always enjoying his time on the water, cruising the Kennebec River all summer.
Barry was predeceased by his stepson James Arps. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Grover; son Richard Grover and his wife, Jennifer; daughter Cindy Hoyt; stepson Jeff Arps; stepdaughter Jennifer Arps; daughter-in-law Beth Arps; and grandchildren Ashley, Ayla, Allison, Mark, Christy, Thomas and Joseph.
