MOOSE RIVER - Casey Duane McIntyre, 66, of Moose River, passed away on Dec. 23, 2016, at Jackman Regional Health Center .
Casey was born Dec. 24, 1949, at The Jackman Birthing Center, the son of Joseph R. McIntyre and Alice (Mathiew) McIntyre, who both predeceased him in 1988 and 1994.
He went to Lincoln School and graduated in 1969 from Forest Hills High School, he then went to the University of Maine to obtain a degree in forestry. After completion, Casey and his dad were lumber contractors in Maine and Canada.
To cherish his memories, Casey is survived by one daughter, Andrea Rose McIntyre and fiance Charles "Chuck" Wood of Castle Rock, Canada; one sister, Ginger M. Bagwell and husband Mark of Inman S.C; three nephews and their wives, Darren, and Derek Bagwell of S.C. ; seven great nieces and nephews; one great great niece; and a special buddy, Jamie Peck.
A special thanks to some very special people who went the extra mile to help Casey during his illness, Larry and Nancy Peck, Bryant and Allison Peck, Jeremy and Kera Watson, Jamie and Valerie Shelley, Tommy Giroux, and Pastor David Bowman. May God bless all of you and also others that I may have missed by accident. Casey, was also preceded in death by his two Canine sons, Fluffy, 15 years old, and Bigfoot, 12 years old, in November of 2016. He loved them very much.
A funeral service will be held on May 26, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church on Main Street in Jackman by Pastor David Bowman. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Jackman. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home in Bingham.
