She was born in Waterville, Sept. 9, 1929, the daughter of Francis and Gertrude (Jolicoeur) Berard.
She was a 1945 graduate of Waterville High School, and following her education married Antonio Doucette on June 16, 1951.
Charlotte was a full-time working Mom who balanced her responsibilities as a mother and working full time as an office manager.
She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church. She was also a former parish council member of Saints Peter and Paul, and school board member of St. Peter's School in Lewiston.
Survivors include Stephen and Judy, of Lewiston; Douglas and companion Diane, of Lewiston; Richard and Robert, both of Washington, D.C.; one daughter, Cathleen and husband Ricardo Palmier, of Portland, Ore.; Arthur Berard and wife Jeanne, of Waterville; Gertrude Gagnon, of Waterville; Honorine Lafreniere, of Auburn; and Beatrice Poulin and Germaine Berard, both of Waterville.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Stephanie, Christopher, Andrew and Robert Doucette Jr.; as well as two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Riley Kuietauskas.
She was predeceased by her husband, Antonio, on July 24, 2000.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston.
A Mass of Christian burial honoring Charlotte's life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the upper church of the Basilica of Saints. Peter and Paul. Committal prayers to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Charlotte's memory may be made to the Maine Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 383 U.S. Route 1, suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.
