WATERVILLE - David F. Wright, passed away on July 5, 2015, at MGMC in Augusta, after several years of failing health, with his wife Valerie by his side. He was born in Lowell, Mass., on March 17, 1948, the son of the late Donald and Aline (Plouffe) Wright.
He received his BA in Business from Boston College, and retired as an Auditor for the State of Maine. He was a member of the American Legion and the Elks Club, both of Waterville.
He leaves behind his wife Valerie (Breard) Wright of Waterville; two sons, Mark and William Wright, four stepdaughters, Mandy Darville, Wendy Dennis, Misty Soucy, and Tracy Hartin of Maine; two grandchildren, 18 step-grandchildren; and four sisters, Diane Theall, of Lowell, Mass., Sandra Dunphy, of Sanbornville, N.H., Carol Goodman, of Austin, Texas, and Denise Culp, of Padua, Italy. He also had many grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Shirley Wright, of Lowell, Mass.; and his stepdaughter Stacy Loder of Waterville; and mother-in-law Margaret Stockman.

A Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m., on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at the Lawry Brothers-Wheeler, 26 Church St., Oakland, followed by his interment at the Lewis Cemetery, Oakland. Family and friends are invited to meet at the American Legion on College Avenue in Waterville, following the graveside service. Arrangements are by Lawry Brothers-Wheeler, 26 Church St., Oakland.
