FAIRFIELD - Geneva B. Pelletier (Theriault), 63, of Millinocket, Maine and Kenneth City, Fla. lost her short battle with cancer surrounded by her family and loved ones at the time of passing. Geneva was born in Saint Agatha, Maine on Nov. 9, 1953, daughter of Hampy and Ernestine (Bouchard) Theriault.
Geneva attended school in Fort Kent until marrying the love of her life, George Pelletier, on Nov. 28, 1970. They settled in Millinocket to raise their family. They had two daughters, Dannielle and Nikki. Geneva was employed at Great Northern Paper Company and finished her work career at Millinocket Regional Hospital in environmental services where she met many special people like Dr. David Wexler. She enjoyed everyone she worked with and took great pride in her work and the bonds she built with her coworkers.
Geneva was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was an avid quilter and knitter, often making quilts as gifts for special occasions. She loved cooking for a crowd; she especially loved feeding her neighbors, she never wanted anyone to go hungry.
Geneva and her husband George made many happy memories as a family camping. They loved going to le platin on the St. John River. She especially enjoyed camp fires, often sitting by the fire into the early morning hours. She loved making memories with her husband and daughters camping every other weekend through their youth, many times including family and friends on these adventures.
Genvea's life was complete with the birth of her grandchildren, Monique, Bryana, Hayden and Abagail. Her heart was always open to every child she met.
Geneva is survived by her husband George; daughters Dannielle and partner Eric Rodrique, and Nikki and partner Dana Vigue. She is also survived by her siblings Bob, Clarence, Richard, Herman, Lester, Sandra and Phyllis; in-laws Edmond, Raymond, Norman, Pauline, Marie and Rita; and several nieces and nephews. Geneva was predeceased by her parents Hampy and Ernestine; a son Matthew George; sisters Amanda and Geraldine and brothers Raymond and James, and brother-in-law Paul.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Sept. 23, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Notre Dame Church, 116 Silver St., Waterville, ME 04901, followed by a celebration of life in the church hall.
