John H. Frake
1961 - 2016
WINTHROP - John H. Frake, 55, died on Monday, Aug.15, 2016, at Central Maine Medical Center, from a respiratory illness.
John was born in Red Bank, N.J., on Jan. 25, 1961, the son of William R. and Joan (McNally) Frake.
In 1971 the Frake family moved to Winthrop. John graduated from Winthrop High School in 1979.
John deeply enjoyed music and his career as a DJ, his gardens, fishing, being outside and building exceptionally beautiful stone walls.
He was predeceased by his father, William R. Frake Sr., and brother, William R. Frake Jr.
John loved his family more than anything and will be deeply missed by his mother, Joan Frake; sister, Kerri Fenwick; wife, Janet Frake; children, Jason, Jacqui, Johnny, and James Frake; seven grandchildren, Harland Frake, Emma Draper, Ryleigh Frake, Levi Draper, William, Elija, and Lauren Frake; niece Margaret Frake; great-nephew Liam Frake; and many extended family and friends.
A celebration of John's life will be held on Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Lakeview Cemetery, Narrows Pond Road, Winthrop, with a gathering immediately following at the Alfred W. Maxwell, Jr. American Legion Post 40, Winthrop. Arrangements are in the care of Roberts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop, where condolences, memories and photos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of the website at: www.khrfuneralhomes.com

Dear Joan and Kerri,
We want to express our very deepest sympathy to both of you and your entire family for the loss of John. I will always remember him as very young, with a full and brave heart for the hardships he endured as best he could in his own way but always with a smile and a positive attitude.
